One Planet, Many People;
Atlas of our Changing Environment
United Nations Environment Program
United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) worked with Google Earth to produce One Planet, Many People; Atlas of our Changing Environment, in 2005. The Atlas used satellite images, acquired over 30 years, to emphasize impact of certain environmentally controversial locations. It's success was attributed to it's ability to help the public visualize, understand and begin to take action on global environmental issues.
